Sharon Glass reaches for a dream.

A week and a bit ago, Shane and I went through to a book launch and cooking demonstration presented by Sharon Glass and hosted by the Pick ‘n Pay cooking school.
One word: FABULOUS.
Sharon is one of South Africa’s leading chef’s and her innovation and brilliance is nothing other than self-taught! Having started off with a small catering business, she now runs a highly successful cooking school in Johannesburg. Based on what we saw, it is no surprise that her classes are packed to capacity every year!
The demo was attended mainly by women. In fact Shane was the ONLY male. (Wonder if he enjoyed the perfume give-away). There were all types, representatives from magazines, chef’s, Editors and of course, the home-executive looking for a little bit of inspiration!
Sharon was a joy to watch. Her ease in the kitchen, her hilarious banter with her assistant and her selection of meals made for a highly entertaining and educational event.
The proceeds of the Demo went to the Reach for a Dream Foundation, so we were very happy in the knowledge that not only were we getting seats at an awesome demo along with some great ideas for something different to cook (and impress) our loved ones, but we were also supporting a marvelous cause.
